How to begin the process:

The technician comes to the facility and takes an inventory of equipment that is deemed to be necessary on your end to calibrate and maintain either on an annual or semi-annual basis. The numbers are put together and proposed to you in 1 or 2 options. How do we start the process? We will put together the cost of the inspection of the annual or semi-annual amount and break it down to a monthly charge will reflect the 12 month cost.

Then benefit of this program is the price stays the same from year 1 to year 2 no matter how many more pieces of equipment the facility purchases. What this does for the facility is that it eliminates the fact of having to come out of pocket with a chunk of change after every inspection. We will come either semi-annually or annually and calibrate and do the maintenance on all of the equipment and invoice you for the amount of each machine. This option is appealing to some as they want to make sure that every piece of equipment is separated and a price tag put on each piece.

Whatever option works for you is fine with us. Of course included in the maintenance of the equipment are the parts that are necessary for each machine according to manufacturer specifications and that is lumped into the price with the same mark-up that the facility pays.

What is the process of  the maintenance?

The technician makes an appointment and lets the maintenance director know that he is coming. The expectations of the maintenance director is that he notifies his staff, the nursing staff and the rehab staff that someone will be in the building to check the equipment. The technician will go on each unit and go room to room calibrating and maintaining the equipment that had been previously specified. At each piece of equipment the technician will scan and print a label onto that piece stating the date that it was checked and the working order. If it is all ok then he will move on to the next piece and so forth and so on. Should the piece of equipment not be in working order he will mark it and notify maintenance, and if allowed, to take the machine back to the shop and work on it to see what is wrong. He will then send a quote to the administrator or whoever is delegated and it will either state that equipment is not worth to fix or the price is such and such.

After completing the inspection which depending on the size of the facility can last anywhere between 4 hours to 2 days he will print out a report to the administrator and maintenance director who will receive a binder from us and every time an inspection gets done the report should be placed in the binder for the purposes of the DOH.
